LA VIDA ES MIA

What do you think of when you hear the word fun? For young Finnick, it means living a day by day, magical adventure alongside his friends, although the rest of the town just sees a group of no-good rascals. But Finnick is trainning up for their biggest- and actual- adventure of all- finding his missing brother.La Vida es Mia (previously named Beautiful Creatures) is one of my junior solo films while at MCAD, which began while on my study abroad semester at FHV – Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences in Austria in 2025. Although I had only enough time to produce portions of it then, it is a continued project post-graduation inspired by my Mexican culture and architecture and teenage nostalgia. It is also a self-exploration of 2D rigged animation, as the challenge during my study abroad semester was to work in a new technique of our practices.Below is a collection of pre-production materials, film stills, and the storyboard pass of the full film. The completed work shall be posted on Youtube and on this website once it is finished. I am open to volunteers joining the crew!Used tracks at the moment: "Beautiful Creatures" by

EXAMINER

For all the intellect Adam was blessed with, he cannot seem to help his dying little sister. But a worried-looking nurse reveals his concern does not extend to all children...Examiner is my sophomore solo film at MCAD, created over the course of about 5 weeks. The full film runs at about a minute and created for my storyboarding class, but I took half of it to render to completion for a character animation class. It served as a proof-of-concept for a series I hope to create in the future, exploring the relationship between the main protagonist and antagonist.Below is a collection of pre-production materials (to be made after the course due to the limited timeframe of the project), film stills, and the storyboard pass of the full film, alongside the rendered half. I hope to fully finish the project, and am thinking of reworking some of the already rendered shots so there is little to no quality difference.Used tracks at the current moment: "All Gone" by Gustavo Santaolalla in The Last of Us and "Examiner" by Kevin Penkin and Raj Ramayya in Tower of God.
